Sam Patterson is a beautiful "everyboy" who loves knock-knock jokes, books, Dora, horseback riding, rolling down hills, and throwing rocks. He has an older brother, a twin sister, a yellow lab, and Cerebral Palsy.

The mission of SuperSamuel.org is to afford Sam every opportunity to maximize his potential. Sam's doctors and therapists all agree that the complexity of his physical needs united with his exceptional motivation and intelligence make Sam a perfect candidate for intense pediatric therapy. Your donations help to support this endeavor.

If you are interested in contributing to the mission of SuperSamuel.org and helping Sam to reach his full potential, we hope you will consider a donation.

Recent News

Sam is currently looking forward to his first trip to a TheraSuit clinic in December. The pioneering TheraSuit Method(c) offers therapy designed specifically for children with Cerebral Palsy. Each training lasts one month, four hours a day, at a state-of-the-art facility in Keego Harbor, Michigan.

Sam also receives ongoing physical, occupational, and speech therapy as well as hippotherapy and conductive education. (Hippotherapy is a complete strategy that uses horseback riding to provide graded sensory input and processing. Conductive education is a system developed to meet the needs of children with motor disorders like Cerebral Palsy. It treats the child as a unified whole.)

In addition, Sam meets with medical specialists throughout New England and uses specialized equipment to support his physical development. He is a busy boy.

We hope you will continue to follow Sam as he learns and grows.

If you would like to support Sam's efforts by participating in the First Annual SuperSamuel Golf Classic on September 28, 2008, please click on the link to the PDF registration form, which you can print and mail in. There will be a special presentation by Dr. Harry C. Webster, MD, FAAP, Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Division of Pediatric Rehabilitation, at Tufts-New England Medical Center.
